Producer Shirish Says Game Changer Failure Nearly Ruined Lives, No Help From Ram or Shankar

Game Changer Failure Nearly Ruined Producer Shirish

Game Changer, a big-budget film starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani and directed by Shankar, was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. But unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office and left many shocked, including the makers themselves. In a recent interview, producer Shirish, brother of well-known producer Dil Raju, shared the emotional and financial impact of the film’s failure.

Game Changer Failure Nearly Ruined Producer Shirish

Shirish revealed that the film’s poor performance made them feel like their “lives were over.” He spoke about how difficult and risky the film business is. According to him, Game Changer was a big gamble, and when it didn’t work out, they were heartbroken. He said they got some hope from the success of another film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which helped them recover slightly in just four days.

One of the most emotional parts of the interview was when Shirish mentioned that after the failure, no one from the team – not even Ram Charan or director Shankar – reached out to offer help or even ask how they were doing. He said, “I am not blaming anyone, because we chose to make this film. But no one came forward to ask if we were okay.”

Despite the failure, Shirish said there is no bitterness. He confirmed that Dil Raju is still open to working with Ram Charan again and is planning another project with him. “Ram doesn’t owe us anything. He can say yes or no, and we’ll respect that,” he added.

Game Changer was made on a huge budget and had been in production since 2021. It earned around ₹186.25 crore worldwide, which was much lower than expected.

This incident shows how uncertain the film industry can be. Even big stars and famous directors can’t always guarantee success, and producers often take the biggest risks. Still, Shirish and his team are hopeful about future projects and moving forward with positivity.
