Shefali Jariwala, best known as the “Kaanta Laga” girl, sadly passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. Her death shocked her fans and the entire entertainment industry. She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest between 10 and 11 PM at her home in Mumbai. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri, but she was declared dead on arrival.
Shefali Jariwala Took Vitamin C Drip Before Death
Shefali’s close friend and actress Pooja Ghai revealed that Shefali had taken a Vitamin C IV drip on the same day of her death. She said such drips are commonly used for boosting energy and immunity, especially after COVID-19. Pooja also mentioned that many people in the entertainment world take these anti-ageing treatments regularly to maintain their looks and energy.

On the day of her death, Shefali had also been fasting for a religious puja. Later, she took an injection of anti-ageing medicine, which was part of her monthly routine for the last few years. Police officers who arrived at the scene questioned the person who gave her the IV drip to understand what exactly was injected.
Reports suggest that Shefali had been using anti-ageing medicines, including glutathione, for almost ten years. Now, investigators are trying to find out if the medicine or the drip played a role in her sudden cardiac arrest. The police are also checking the ingredients of the IV and her regular medication.

A postmortem has been completed, but the final medical opinion is still awaited. Until then, the real cause of her death is not confirmed, but it may be linked to long-term unsupervised treatments.
