Shefali Jariwala, best known for her appearance in the hit music video Kaanta Laga and as a contestant on Bigg Boss 13, passed away suddenly at the age of 42 on Friday night. According to reports, she suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Mumbai.

Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, immediately rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital. Sadly, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her body was later sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The exact cause of her death will be confirmed after the autopsy.

A heartbreaking detail that has caught the attention of many fans is Shefali’s last post on X (formerly Twitter). It was a tribute to her former Bigg Boss co-contestant and ex-boyfriend, Sidharth Shukla, who also died of a heart attack in 2021. On his death anniversary, Shefali had shared an emotional photo and message, which has now gone viral after her own unexpected passing.
The couple, Shefali and Parag, were seen together in their building just a day before her death. Their watchman shared that everything seemed normal at that time. He also mentioned that Parag had come home on his bike around 9 PM on Friday, and by 10:30 PM, Shefali was rushed to the hospital.

The police and forensic teams arrived at the residence soon after. One of Parag’s friends informed people nearby that Shefali had passed away, shocking everyone who had seen her recently looking well and active.
Shefali had earlier opened up about her struggle with epilepsy, which had affected her work after her early fame. Despite that, she remained a beloved figure in the entertainment world, often remembered fondly as the “Kaanta Laga girl.”
Her sudden death has left fans, friends, and the film industry in deep sorrow. No official statement from the family has been made yet. Shefali Jariwala will always be remembered for her iconic screen presence and vibrant personality.
