The upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, has found itself in a big controversy. The film features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in an important role. However, after her recent comments about India’s Operation Sindoor, things have taken a serious turn.
Sardaar Ji 3 Skips India After Controversy
Operation Sindoor was a strong response from India after the Pahalgam terror attack. Hania Aamir called the operation a “cowardly act,” which angered many Indian fans. People on social media demanded that Hania be removed from the film. However, when the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 was released, Hania was still in it, which disappointed many fans further.

Gunbir Singh Sidhu, the film’s co-producer explained why they decided not to release the film in India. He said that after the terror attack and rising tension between India and Pakistan, they didn’t want to hurt the feelings of Indian citizens. He added that skipping the Indian release would result in a huge financial loss. Around 40% of their previous film’s earnings came from India.
Gunbir also shared that Hania’s comments were wrong and inappropriate. “She hit below the belt,” he said. He added that moving forward, they have decided not to work with any Pakistani artists.

Diljit Dosanjh also spoke about the issue. He said that when the movie was being shot in February, everything was fine between the two countries. However, things changed later, and now the decision is in the hands of the producers. Diljit supports the choice to release the movie overseas only, as it is beyond their control.
Sardaar Ji 3 will now release only in international markets and not in India. The situation shows how political and national issues can deeply impact the entertainment industry and decisions made by filmmakers.
