Naureen was the first wife of Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. She married him in 1987 when she was just 16 years old. At that time, Azharuddin was already a popular and successful cricketer. Naureen was known as a soft-spoken, caring, and supportive wife. She stood by Azharuddin during the early years of his cricket career and was very dedicated to their family.

Naureen and Azharuddin had two sons together—Mohammad Asaduddin and Mohammad Ayazuddin. Their younger son, Ayazuddin, tragically passed away in a road accident in 2011, which deeply affected the family.
However, their marriage did not last. Due to Azharuddin’s growing closeness with Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani, Naureen and Azharuddin separated and finally divorced in 1996. After the divorce, Azharuddin married Sangeeta Bijlani the same year, though that marriage also ended in divorce in 2010.

After parting ways with Azharuddin, Naureen moved on with her life. She reportedly married a Canadian businessman and later married again in London. Her third husband is said to be a Muslim community leader based in the UK. Naureen now has a son from her third marriage, who is the step-brother of her older son, Asaduddin.
Naureen mostly stayed away from the media spotlight. However, her story was brought into public attention when actress Prachi Desai portrayed her character in the 2016 biopic Azhar, which focused on Mohammad Azharuddin’s life. Prachi Desai shared that meeting Naureen was an emotional experience, and it helped her understand the quiet strength and grace Naureen carried during difficult times.

Today, Naureen lives a private life and focuses on her family. Though her journey was full of personal hardships, especially the loss of her son and two divorces, she continues to stay strong and rebuild her life with dignity.
