Rono Mukherjee, a well-known film director and member of the famous Mukherjee family, passed away recently in Mumbai due to a heart attack. Bollywood Director Rono Mukherjee Passes Away

Rono was the uncle of popular Bollywood actresses Kajol and Rani Mukerji. He was also the father of Sharbani, Siddharth, and Samrat Mukherjee. Besides being a director, he was an important member of the Mukherjee-Samarth family, which has been part of the Indian film industry for several generations. The family is known for producing many actors, directors, and other film personalities over the years.

His funeral was held at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbai. Many family members, including Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, and other relatives, gathered to pay their last respects. Several well-known personalities from the film industry, including filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, also attended the funeral to offer their condolences.

This loss comes just a few months after the death of Deb Mukherjee, another respected member of the Mukherjee family, who passed away in March. Deb Mukherjee was also a well-known actor and part of the same film dynasty. The Mukherjee family has long been connected to Indian cinema, with roots going back to the 1930s.

Rono Mukherjee was not only a filmmaker but also a respected community figure. He served as the President of North Bombay Durga Puja, showing his involvement beyond the film world. His death leaves a big gap in both the film industry and his community.
