Nana Patekar is a very famous and respected actor in Indian cinema. He is well known for his powerful acting skills and has worked in both Marathi and Bollywood movies. Nana started his career in 1978 with a film called Garman. Over the years, he gave many memorable performances in films like Salaam Bombay, Parinda, Krantiveer, Prahaar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Agni Sakshi, and Khamoshi: The Musical. His strong acting earned him many awards and respect from fans and critics alike.
Meet Nana Patekar’s wife and comeback
While Nana Patekar’s life and career are well known, many people do not know much about his wife, Neelakanti Patekar. Nana met Neelakanti during a Marathi play. At that time, she was working as a bank officer and earning a modest salary. Their friendship soon turned into love, and they got married in 1978. The couple had two sons. Sadly, their first son passed away at a very young age. Later, they were blessed with another son named Malhar.

Neelakanti Patekar was born in Pune, Maharashtra. Her father worked in the central excise department, which meant the family moved often because of his job transfers. She studied physics and even prepared for the tough IIT entrance exam, which she cleared with good marks. But her heart was always in acting. She acted in many plays and won awards for her excellent performances. She won a gold medal in a state drama competition and also received the best actress award from the Maharashtra State Government for her role in the film Aatm Vishwas.

Despite her success, Neelakanti chose to step away from acting to focus on her family. After almost a decade, she made a strong comeback in 2024 with the film Chhava. In this historical drama starring Vicky Kaushal, she played an important role and impressed both critics and audiences.
