Actor Silambarasan, also known as Simbu or STR, gave a very emotional speech at the audio launch event of his new movie, “Thug Life,” held recently in Chennai. During his speech, Simbu thanked many important people who have supported him throughout his career, including his parents, famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam, music composer AR Rahman, and legendary actor Kamal Haasan.
Simbu Thanks Supporters Amid Controversies
Simbu shared how difficult his journey in the film industry has been. He talked about the tough times when many producers did not want to work with him because of his past controversies. Despite this, Mani Ratnam believed in him and gave him a chance in his films. Simbu said he was very thankful to Mani Ratnam for trusting him when others had doubts.
He also spoke about his close bond with AR Rahman, who gave him many opportunities as a singer. Simbu recalled how Rahman supported him even during hard times and how their friendship has helped him grow in the industry.
One of the most touching parts of Simbu’s speech was when he thanked his parents. He got emotional while talking about how his parents, especially his father T Rajendar, taught him acting from childhood. Simbu said that he sometimes felt sad seeing other children lead a normal life, but now he feels grateful for the path his parents helped him follow. He feels proud to have reached a point where he will soon act alongside Kamal Haasan in a new movie directed by Mani Ratnam.
Simbu also addressed rumors that he might take Kamal Haasan’s place in the film industry. He said that Kamal Haasan is irreplaceable because of his hard work and legacy. Instead, Simbu wants to work hard to make Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam proud.
At the end of his speech, Simbu thanked his fans for their constant love and support. He promised them that “Thug Life” would mark a new beginning in his career and that he will try to avoid delays in his future projects.
The movie “Thug Life” is scheduled to release in theaters on June 5, and fans are eagerly waiting to see Simbu’s new performance.
