Kunal Singh was a popular actor in the late 1990s and early 2000s, mainly known for his work in Tamil films. He became famous with his debut movie Kadhalar Dhinam in 1999, where he starred opposite Sonali Bendre. The movie was a hit, and even its Hindi version Dil Hi Dil Mein gained popularity, especially the song “Ae Nazneen Suno Na.” Despite his rising career, Kunal’s personal life was complicated and difficult.

Kunal Singh was married to Anuradha, and they had two daughters. However, their marriage had problems because Anuradha was suspicious about Kunal’s close relationship with his co-star Lavina Bhatia. This tension eventually led to Anuradha leaving their home and taking their daughters with her. This family trouble added emotional pressure on Kunal.
On February 7, 2008, Kunal Singh was found dead in his Mumbai home. He was hanging from the ceiling, and the discovery was made by actress Lavina Bhatia, who was with him at the time. The police questioned Lavina, but after investigation, they did not find any evidence of foul play. The case was initially declared a suicide. Police mentioned that Kunal was a trained karate black belt, so he could have defended himself if attacked. They also found out that he had attempted suicide before.
Kunal’s father, Colonel Rajendra Singh, did not agree with the suicide conclusion. He noticed bruises and cuts on Kunal’s body that suggested a possible struggle. He believed that Kunal was murdered and that his death was made to look like a suicide. He also mentioned that Kunal had sent a message to a friend just an hour before his death, inviting him over, which did not seem like someone planning to end his life.
Due to these claims, the case was given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a deeper look. The CBI investigated thoroughly but finally agreed with the original police conclusion that Kunal Singh’s death was a suicide and no murder took place.

Despite the official reports, Kunal Singh’s family still has doubts about the true cause of his death.
