Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, the actress known for her role in the TV show Choti Sardarni, recently shared a deeply personal and painful experience. She revealed that she was molested inside the Supreme Court of India when she was still a law student. Nimrit thought the Supreme Court would be a safe place, but what happened there shocked her.

Nimrit was in her third year of college and had gone to the Supreme Court to watch a high-profile case. The courtroom was very crowded, with the judge present and many people around. While she was there, a senior lawyer touched her inappropriately. She first felt someone’s hand on her behind, and at first, she thought she was imagining things because it was so crowded. But then, when she looked back, she saw the man staring ahead and not caring that he had touched her.

Nimrit tried to move away, but the man followed her and touched her again, this time also holding her hand inappropriately. She was shocked and felt tears coming to her eyes. Fortunately, a senior female lawyer nearby saw that Nimrit was upset and asked if she was okay. When Nimrit nodded, the woman revealed that the same man had molested her as well on that same day.

The woman immediately helped Nimrit by pulling her out of the courtroom, slapping the man, and calling the police. When the police arrived, there was chaos, and Nimrit felt scared because she never thought something like this could happen in such a respected place like the Supreme Court.

Although Nimrit wanted to take strict legal action against the man, she eventually accepted a written apology from him, making sure he admitted his wrong actions. She shared her story to raise awareness about the safety of women and to encourage others to speak out against harassment.
