Neha Kakkar, the popular Bollywood singer, recently made headlines for arriving three hours late to her Melbourne concert in March. The incident stirred quite a bit of controversy, with videos showing Neha breaking down on stage after being booed by the audience. She later claimed that the event organizers ran away with her money and that her team was not provided with basic necessities like food, water, or hotel accommodation during their stay in Melbourne.
Neha Kakkar Accused of Lying About Concert Delay
However, the event organizers, Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa, disputed Neha’s version of events. They explained that Neha had performed a successful concert in Sydney the previous day, which had a large audience of 1500-2000 people. The organizers claimed that the Melbourne show, which had only 700 attendees, was the cause of the singer’s dissatisfaction. According to them, Neha refused to perform until the venue was filled, despite having already been paid in full before flying to Australia, which is a standard practice in the country.
The organizers also addressed Neha’s claim about a lack of sound check, insisting that everything had been prepared in advance. They stated that all the opening acts had performed and the sound setup was ready for her performance. They further denied Neha’s accusation that her team had not been given any food, water, or accommodation. They pointed out that Neha was traveling in a luxury vehicle and that hotel arrangements were made as usual.
After receiving criticism on social media, Neha shared a lengthy post on Instagram where she reiterated her grievances. She accused the organizers of mistreating her and her team, and also stated that she had performed for free in front of her Melbourne audience due to the organizers’ failure to meet their obligations.
