Cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty have made a significant real estate investment together. They recently purchased a seven-acre plot of land in Owale, a locality in Thane West, near Mumbai. The land was acquired for a whopping ₹9.85 crore, as confirmed by property registration documents.

The land is part of a larger 30-acre parcel, but KL Rahul and Suniel Shetty now own a seven-acre portion of it. The transaction also included a stamp duty payment of ₹68.96 lakh and a registration charge of ₹30,000. The registration was completed on March 20, 2025. This move reflects the growing interest among celebrities in real estate investments, as both cricketers and actors look to expand their portfolios.

Owale, situated along Ghodbunder Road, is an important route connecting Thane to Mumbai, making this location a prime choice for property investment. However, neither KL Rahul nor Suniel Shetty were available for comment on the purchase.

This latest property acquisition comes after KL Rahul and his wife, Athiya Shetty, Suniel Shetty’s daughter, made headlines in 2024 for buying a luxury apartment in Bandra’s Pali Hill area for ₹20 crore. Similarly, Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty also purchased a property in Mumbai for ₹8.01 crore through a bank auction in 2024.
