Veteran actor Prakash Raj recently shared a picture with stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, and it quickly caught everyone’s attention—not just for the photo, but for the caption that came with it. The two were seen smiling together in the image, which Prakash Raj posted on X (formerly Twitter) on April 11, 2025.
Prakash Raj Mocks Threats with Kamra
The actor jokingly wrote in Hindi-English mix, “Tamil Nadu kaise pahunchneka bhai ..?? Simple .. Auto mein,” which means, “How will you reach Tamil Nadu, brother? Simple, by auto.” This playful caption was not random. It was actually a smart and funny response to a viral audio clip that recently created a buzz on social media.
In that clip, a Shiv Sena party worker was reportedly heard abusing and threatening Kunal Kamra for mocking Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in one of his parody videos. In response to the threat, Kamra had boldly said that he was in Tamil Nadu and asked the caller to come meet him there. This led to a confused response from the Sena worker, who said, “Abhi Tamil Nadu kaise pahunchnega bhai?” (How will you reach Tamil Nadu now?).

Prakash Raj’s caption seemed to poke fun at that moment by suggesting the simplest solution—just take an auto-rickshaw. His witty post quickly gained attention and was shared widely on social media.
Earlier, Kunal Kamra had posted a parody version of a song from the popular 1997 movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai, which made fun of Eknath Shinde. The video didn’t sit well with Shiv Sena supporters. As a result, a group of workers reportedly vandalised the Habitat Studio, where Kamra had recorded the video. The incident was followed by action from the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation), which demolished certain parts of the studio premises.

Despite all this backlash, Kamra remained fearless. He released a detailed statement saying that making fun of political leaders is not a crime. He also mentioned that just because someone cannot take a joke about a powerful person, it doesn’t take away his right to express his views.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police sent two summonses to Kamra after a Shiv Sena MLA, Murji Patel, filed a complaint against him. An FIR was registered on March 24.
