Shikhar Dhawan Opens Up About Painful Separation from His Son and How Spirituality Helps Him Cope

Shikhar Dhawan, the well-known Indian cricketer, recently opened up about a very emotional part of his life—his separation from his son, Zoravar. After his divorce from Aesha Mukerji, Dhawan has not been able to meet or speak to his son for a long time. In an interview, he shared how difficult this experience has been and how he is using spirituality to stay strong and feel connected with his child.

Shikhar Dhawan said that it has been two years since he last saw his son and over a year since they even spoke. Despite this, he still messages him every three or four days, even though he knows he has been blocked. He said he does not expect a reply, but as a father, he believes it is his duty to keep reaching out with love. He said he will never stop trying.

To cope with the pain of being away from his son, Shikhar Dhawan has turned to meditation and spiritual practices. He believes in sending positive energy and using affirmations to feel close to Zoravar. He said that when he meditates, he imagines talking to his son, hugging him, and playing with him. Even though they are not physically together, Dhawan feels they are connected on a deeper, spiritual level.

Shikhar Dhawan also shared that he has only spent two and a half years with his son in total, even though Zoravar is now 11 years old. This makes the loss even more heartbreaking. Yet, Dhawan tries to stay hopeful and strong by focusing on spiritual strength and inner peace.

Experts say that such long separations can affect both the parent and the child deeply. Children may struggle with emotional issues if they don’t understand why a parent is not around. They may feel confused, rejected, or sad. But when there is love and care from the present parent, open communication, and emotional support, children can still grow up with strength and stability.
