Sunny Deol is returning to the big screen with his new action-thriller film called Jaat, which will release on April 10, 2025. This movie is directed by Gopichand Malineni and stars Regina Cassandra as the female lead, while Randeep Hooda plays the villain. The cast also includes popular actors like Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Zee Studios, and People Media Factory.
Sunny Deol’s Jaat Impresses Before Release
Jaat marks Sunny Deol’s comeback after nearly one and a half years. His last big hit was Gadar 2 in 2023. The story of Jaat is about a traveler who arrives in a coastal village and sees how the people suffer under the rule of a criminal named Varadaraja Ranatunga. The film shows his journey to bring justice and fight corruption in the village.

Before its release, Jaat received a good response in advance booking. According to reports from film industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie earned about ₹61.34 lakh through advance ticket sales. Over 36,000 tickets were sold across more than 7,000 shows in Hindi 2D format. Including blocked seats, the film’s total collection from advance booking stands at ₹2.67 crore. Maharashtra has contributed the most to this early success, followed by Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.
Just two days before the movie’s release, the makers held a theme song launch event in Delhi. At the event, Sunny Deol talked about his experience and said he always trusts the director’s vision and performs according to their guidance. He shared how deeply he connects with his characters and works hard to bring them to life on screen.
The movie’s powerful theme song was recently launched, featuring Sunny Deol. The song is written and sung by Amrit Maan, composed by Thaman, and choreographed by famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya. The music has already started gaining attention, adding excitement for the film’s release.

Jaat is made on a budget of around ₹100 crore and is releasing on the same day as Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, which has a much larger budget of ₹300 crore. This sets the stage for a big box office clash between the two films.
