Director Maruthi recently shared an update on his upcoming film The Raja Saab, which stars actor Prabhas in the lead role. The movie has been in production for quite a long time and was expected to release on April 10, 2025. However, the release has now been delayed, leaving many fans frustrated and eager to know what’s happening.
Prabhas’ The Raja Saab Release Delayed
The film began shooting in 2022 but still hasn’t been completed. Recently, when Maruthi posted some pictures from his trip to Tirupati, fans quickly filled the comments asking for an update about the movie. Many were upset and asked why there was still no official announcement.

One fan told the director to take his time but to at least make an official announcement about when the film might release—even if it’s later this year or next year. In reply, Maruthi explained that the production team is still working on the final stages of the movie. He said that several CGI (computer-generated imagery) studios are involved in the film, and once the visuals are checked and approved, the team will announce the release date. He added that it’s not just his decision alone, and many people are involved in the process.
Another fan requested that the team (Prabhas) should give regular updates about the progress of the film. Maruthi responded by saying that only a small portion of the movie is left to be shot, including some dialogue scenes and songs. He also said that the parts of the film received so far from some CGI studios are looking really good, and he is hopeful that the remaining work will be just as impressive.
The Raja Saab (Prabhas) is a horror-comedy movie. It stars Prabhas alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu debut), and Riddhi Kumar. There are also rumors that actor Sanjay Dutt will have a special appearance, though that has not been confirmed yet. The movie is being produced by People Media Factory, and the music is being composed by Thaman S.

Although fans are disappointed about the delay, Maruthi assured everyone that the entire team is working very hard to deliver a great film. He asked fans to be a little more patient and promised that they would soon be able to see the result of all the effort. So, while fans wait a little longer, it seems like The Raja Saab will be worth it when it finally hits theatres.
