Fortnite Update 34.10: Fortnite players had to take a short break from the game on Tuesday morning as the servers went offline for scheduled maintenance. This downtime was necessary to introduce the latest update, Patch 34.10, for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless. The update brings several new features, including the return of The Getaway limited-time mode and new MLB-themed Shohei Ohtani content.

One of the most exciting additions in this update is The Getaway mode, which first appeared in Chapter 1. In this mode, players must retrieve one of four Crystal Llamas and extract them using Getaway Vans. Teams can play in duos or squads of four, and the first three teams to escape win the match. Players can also secure victory by eliminating all other teams. Along with this mode, the update introduces Outlaw Midas and several new weapons available in the Black Market. Siphon also makes a return in ranked mode, allowing players to regain health or shields when they eliminate opponents.
Another highlight of the update is the Shohei Ohtani-themed content. Shohei Ohtani skins will be available in the Fortnite shop, and on March 15, the Shohei Ohtani Cup will take place. Additionally, Week 4 Battle Royale quests will start on March 18 and continue until the season ends. Some of the expected quests include dealing damage with The Kneecapper, eliminating players from a distance, finishing in the top 17 of matches, throwing items, and traveling a certain distance while sliding (Fortnite Update 34.10).
For players experiencing lag or connection issues, Fortnite Status on X (formerly Twitter) suggests updating the Domain Name System (DNS) settings. More details on how to do this are available on the official Epic Games website. Players can also stay informed about any future outages or maintenance by following @FortniteStatus on X.
