Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández has shared that he is considering having another child. In a recent interview, he revealed that he and his partner, Karla Laveaga, have been discussing the possibility. However, there is one challenge: years ago, he underwent a vasectomy, and he is unsure if it can still be reversed.

Alejandro Fernández, also known as “El Potrillo,” is already a proud father of five children. His children, Camila, Alex, and América, are from his previous relationship with América Guinart, while Valentina and Emiliano are from his relationship with Ximena Díaz. He cherishes his role as a father and has always been deeply involved in his children’s lives.

During an interview with journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante, Alejandro Fernández was asked if he would like to have another child. He responded, “We are still thinking about it,” showing that he has not made a final decision yet. He also expressed how much he values his family and the strong bond he shares with his children.

One major factor complicating his decision is the vasectomy he had about 25 years ago. He explained, “I had my cables cut (vasectomy), and I believe it is reversible for about five years. But it has been 25 years, so I don’t know if it will still work.”

Alejandro Fernández acknowledged the important role that the mothers of his children have played in their upbringing. He admitted that, due to his busy career, they were the ones who took care of the children most of the time. “I am very grateful to the mothers of my children. While I was working, they were raising them,” he said.

Over the years, Alejandro’s relationship with his children has grown stronger. He mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic brought them closer, as they spent more time together. “The pandemic was tough for the world, but it allowed me to bond with my children. We spent a lot of time together, and that tradition continues today. We still meet, eat together, and talk,” he shared.
