During a panel discussion, Ripa shared how Wilson’s decision led to her meeting her husband, Mark Consuelos, and ultimately building a beautiful family.

On January 14, 2025, during an event celebrating All My Children’s 55th anniversary, Ripa took a moment to acknowledge Wilson’s impact on her life. Hosted by Andy Cohen and Susan Lucci, the event brought together key figures from the show’s history.
While discussing casting moments, Cohen asked Wilson about the decision she was most proud of. Before Wilson could respond, Ripa interrupted to highlight Wilson’s role in her personal journey. She stated, “Without Judy, I would literally have nothing.”

Ripa explained that because of Wilson, she met Mark Consuelos, her future husband, on the show. She expressed deep appreciation, saying Wilson was responsible for every good thing in her life.
Wilson shared that the show’s executives were unsure about casting Consuelos for his role. However, she strongly believed in his talent and convinced the producers to give him a chance. Eventually, they agreed, and Consuelos became a part of the show—changing both his and Ripa’s lives forever.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos met while working on All My Children and quickly fell in love. The couple got married in 1996 and now have three children together. Their long-lasting relationship is one of Hollywood’s most inspiring love stories.
