Momoa recently confirmed the news on Instagram by reposting a 2023 interview where he revealed his admiration for Lobo. “He was always my favorite,” said Momoa, who has been a comic book fan for years. His post, captioned “They called,” delighted fans worldwide.

Lobo is known for his rugged, rebellious personality, which Momoa believes is a perfect fit for him. Fans can expect his character to make an appearance in the upcoming Supergirl movie. The film, directed by Craig Gillespie, features Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El and Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain, Krem of the Yellow Hill. The movie is rumored to be inspired by the comic book Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
The storyline follows an alien girl named Ruthye, who seeks Supergirl’s help in avenging her father’s death. Alongside Supergirl, Lobo’s involvement is expected to add an exciting twist to the narrative.
