Taapsee Pannu, the famous actress, recently surprised her fans by revealing the truth about her wedding. While it was previously believed that she married her longtime partner, Mathias Boe, in March 2024 during a private ceremony in Udaipur, Taapsee has now shared that they actually got married earlier—in December 2023.
Taapsee Pannu’s Secret Wedding
During a conversation at the Agenda Aaj Tak event, Taapsee explained that she and Mathias wanted to keep their marriage private for a while. They had a quiet court marriage in December 2023, far ahead of the official wedding ceremony in Udaipur. The couple decided not to announce their marriage at the time to maintain a clear separation between their personal and professional lives.

Taapsee Pannu explained that keeping personal life private helps to avoid unnecessary stress caused by mixing career successes and failures with private moments. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between both parts of life.
The actress also shared that if she hadn’t revealed it now, no one would have known about their legal marriage. She and Mathias felt that not sharing everything about their personal lives helped them stay grounded.
Their Udaipur wedding, attended by close family and friends including a few celebrities like Anurag Kashyap and Kanika Dhillon, took place in March 2024. Taapsee and Mathias met in 2013 at the Indian Badminton League, and their relationship grew over the years.
On her work front, Taapsee will soon be seen in the Netflix film Gandhari, a movie exploring the profound relationship between a mother and her child.
