Nick Jonas recently took a trip down memory lane and shared his thoughts on his time with Disney Channel. He even referred to this period as his “creative school,” as he started at Disney when he was 14, which also overlapped with his high school years.

Nick Jonas Reminisces Disney
Nick Jonas starred in Jonas, a show he did with his brothers Kevin and Joe Jonas, which aired on Disney Channel for two seasons. At the same time, Miley Cyrus was making waves with Hannah Montana, Demi Lovato was starring in Sonny with a Chance, and Selena Gomez became famous for Wizards of Waverly Place. These young stars, including Nick, later became global pop sensations.
While speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival on December 12, 2024, Nick reflected on how their time at Disney helped shape their careers. He said that this “graduating class” of Disney stars went on to have amazing, long-lasting success, with Miley, Selena, and Demi achieving incredible fame in the music and acting world.
Nick Jonas also praised Selena for her recent Golden Globe nomination for Emilia Pérez and acknowledged Disney’s ability to find and develop young talent. He said, “Disney was able to help shape who we are and showed that we all had unique qualities that made us stand out.”
Despite the success, Nick admitted that being known as a Disney star made it challenging to be taken seriously for more dramatic roles at times. However, he worked hard to overcome that limitation. After the Jonas Brothers’ break-up in 2013, Nick pursued a successful solo music career and even ventured into acting and Broadway.
Looking ahead, Nick Jonas is excited to return to Broadway in 2025, where he will star alongside Tony Award-winning actress Adrienne Warren in The Last Five Years.
