Jennifer Aniston Voices Disney Character
Phoebe Ray-Taylor, a young actress making her acting debut, plays the lead role of Melody, a 12-year-old girl living with cerebral palsy. Melody is unable to speak, but in the movie, she uses technology to give voice to her inner thoughts. And to make it even more special, Jennifer Aniston will voice Melody’s thoughts.
In a preview clip from the movie, Aniston’s voice introduces Melody saying, “My name is Melody Brooks, and for the price of a smoothie, you can save a child like me with cerebral palsy.” Melody adds humorously, “Nah, I’m just kidding; I don’t want your money and I don’t want your pity either.”
The movie explores Melody’s journey as she faces the challenges of being a non-verbal child with cerebral palsy and her determination to be heard. It’s a story about overcoming obstacles and finding strength with the help of her friends and family. Melody, through the help of technology, proves that what she has to say is more important than how she says it.
Apart from Phoebe Ray-Taylor and Jennifer Aniston, the movie also stars Judith Light, Luke Kirby, Emily Mitchell, and Rosemarie Dewitt. Aniston also makes a fun cameo in the film, appearing as her iconic Friends character, Rachel Green, on a screen, smiling back at Melody.
Phoebe Ray-Taylor, who had never acted before, expressed her surprise and gratitude for this opportunity at the Sundance Film Festival, where she revealed how thankful she was to be part of this heartwarming story.
Out Of My Mind promises to be an inspiring and emotional movie for viewers of all ages, highlighting the importance of giving everyone, no matter their challenges, a voice.
