Janhvi Kapoor, a popular Bollywood actress, recently shared her admiration for South Indian superstar Nayanthara’s new Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale.
Janhvi Kapoor Applauds Nayanthara’s Documentary
The documentary, which was released on November 18, 2024, offers an intimate look into the life of the actress and her personal journey. Janhvi took to Instagram to praise Nayanthara’s strength and resilience, calling the documentary “inspiring.” She shared the show’s poster and wrote, “Nothing more inspiring than watching a strong woman be a strong woman,” expressing her respect for Nayanthara’s journey.
The documentary focuses not only on Nayanthara’s career but also on her personal life, including her grand wedding to director Vignesh Shivan. It features exclusive footage from their wedding and includes stories from close friends like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rana Daggubati, and filmmaker Atlee. The documentary is directed by Amith Krishnan, who is known for his work on Life of Pi and Coke Studio Tamil.

Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently working on her debut South film Devara with Jr. NTR, has always expressed her connection with the South Indian film industry. She has also mentioned that working in South films feels close to her heart, as it reminds her of her late mother, Sridevi, who had a successful career in both Bollywood and South cinema.
Janhvi’s upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKT), will be a romantic comedy alongside actor Varun Dhawan. It is expected to be released on April 18, 2025. In addition, Janhvi is reportedly working on another romantic comedy film with actor Sidharth Malhotra.
