John Krasinski, the actor best known for his role as Jim Halpert on the popular TV show The Office, has been named People’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive. The announcement was made on November 13, 2024, and Krasinski shared his surprise and excitement about the honor.

John Krasinski Named Sexiest Man
When he first heard the news, he didn’t know how to react. “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” he said. At first, he even though it might be a prank. However, Krasinski took the title in stride, joking that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, might use the magazine cover as wallpaper for their home in Brooklyn. He added that Blunt was “very excited” when she heard the news, and they celebrated together.
John Krasinski and Blunt have been married for 14 years and have two daughters, Hazel and Violet. Krasinski praised his wife for helping him grow and learn in their relationship.
In addition to his famous role in The Office, Krasinski is known for his work in the Jack Ryan series and the A Quiet Place movie franchise, which he also directed and produced. He has several upcoming projects, including an action heist film titled Fountain of Youth, starring alongside Natalie Portman.
The title of Sexiest Man Alive is awarded annually by People magazine, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of the honor. Past winners include Brad Pitt, Chris Hemsworth, and Michael B. Jordan. Krasinski takes over the title from Patrick Dempsey, the 2023 winner.
