Rihanna’s two sons, RZA and Riot Rose, both born in the U.S., are American citizens. However, because she never applied for U.S. citizenship, she isn’t eligible to vote in American elections. Her post is a lighthearted way to encourage her fans to participate in the election, emphasizing the importance of voting, especially in matters affecting women’s rights.

In her Instagram post, Rihanna hinted at her support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. While she didn’t explicitly mention her choice, she has been vocal in her criticism of former President Donald Trump in the past. Rihanna’s message is part of a larger trend, as many celebrities are using their platforms to encourage their followers to vote. Big names like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce have also publicly expressed their support for Harris, urging fans to exercise their right to vote.

In addition to her successful music career and beauty brand, Rihanna is celebrated as a national hero of Barbados. She was appointed as an ambassador in 2018 and continues to embrace her heritage, maintaining a close connection with her home country while living in the U.S.
