The video, which was first shared by Vanity Fair on October 31, stars several beloved Marvel actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira, and Paul Bettany.

In this 90-second video, Scarlett Johansson initiates a group call with her co-stars, where they brainstorm slogans to encourage people to vote for Harris. Through playful banter and humorous exchanges, they eventually land on the catchphrase, “Down with Democracy.” The video then displays a Marvel-themed graphic of Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, with a reminder to vote on November 5.

Actor Mark Ruffalo, known for his role as Hulk, shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), urging fans to vote. In his post, Ruffalo highlighted the importance of issues like reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, and healthcare, emphasizing the potential impact of this election.
Reflecting on the video shoot, Johansson, who played Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), shared that working on this project reminded her of their on-screen chemistry. She mentioned that even off-camera, their interactions often mirrored their film roles, with Robert Downey Jr. and Ruffalo sharing playful disagreements. “It was wonderful to feel everybody assembled around it, and hopefully, it will engage our fans in the process of voting,” Johansson added.
