In a statement, Pounds said, “I want all proceeds to go to a charity of [the family’s] choosing. Even though we all love the song, it’s not the time yet.” He emphasized that everyone is still mourning Liam’s loss and that the family should have the space to grieve.

Liam Payne passed away after a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was there to attend a concert by his former bandmate, Niall Horan. Liam had extended his stay in Argentina and was accompanied by his girlfriend, who left two days before the incident. His death is still under investigation, and a preliminary report indicated that he likely died after falling about 45 feet.
Toxicology tests showed that drugs, including cocaine and crack, were found in his system. His family, including his father, Greg, and his mother, Karen, are currently in Argentina to manage the investigation and arrange to bring Liam’s body back to the UK.
Liam is survived by his 7-year-old son, Bear, and his former bandmates, who have expressed their grief over his passing. Zayn Malik, another One Direction member, has also postponed his upcoming performances to honor Liam’s memory.
