As the much-anticipated Diljit Dosanjh concerts in Delhi approaches, excitement is soaring among fans. The two shows, part of his “Dil-Luminati World Tour,” are scheduled to take place on October 26 and 27 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. However, both concerts are officially sold out, leading to a surge in black-market ticket sales.
Diljit Concert Tickets Scalped
India Today’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) uncovered how black marketeers are making huge profits by selling these tickets at inflated prices. The tickets, which were originally priced between Rs 4,000 and Rs 9,000, are now being sold for as much as Rs 84,000 in the black market.

The investigation team spoke to several individuals involved in the illegal ticket sales. One of the sellers assured that the tickets were genuine and specifically for the Delhi shows. Despite the high prices, fans are willing to pay hefty sums to secure their spot at the concert.
In response to the growing problem, the Delhi High Court has sought a probe into ticket scalping for the Diljit Dosanjh concert. Authorities are now looking into how these tickets are being resold at such inflated prices and whether any laws are being broken in the process.
The investigation also revealed that foreign ticketing websites like Viagogo are contributing to the issue. These platforms allow individuals to resell tickets at higher prices, pushing costs beyond the reach of regular buyers. Since these platforms operate overseas, it is difficult for Indian authorities to regulate or take action against them.
Legal experts have expressed concerns that such ticket sales may violate Indian laws, including the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), and have called for stricter regulations to protect consumers.
As Diljit’s fans eagerly await the concerts, the black market continues to thrive, with no guarantee that these overpriced tickets are even valid.
