The 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards were held on October 8 at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas. While the event was not aired live, it was broadcast on BET and VH1 on October 15, 2024. Hosted by rapper Fat Joe, the awards celebrated the best in hip-hop, with performances from stars like 2 Chainz, GloRilla, and Travis Scott. The event highlighted hip-hop’s biggest talents, with Kendrick Lamar taking home several of the night’s top honors.

Kendrick Lamar’s Big Wins

Kendrick Lamar had a standout night, winning Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for Not Like Us. He faced competition from major stars like Drake, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion but came out on top. He also won the Lyricist of the Year award and received recognition for his collaboration with Metro Boomin and Future on the song Like That, which won Best Collaboration.

Nicki Minaj won Hip Hop Album of the Year for Pink Friday 2, beating out albums from 21 Savage, Drake, and Travis Scott. Additionally, Travis Scott received the I AM Hip Hop Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the genre over the last decade.
