Subscribers of major telecom companies in Punjab and Chandigarh faced significant network outages for about 2 to 3 hours on October 14, 2024. Many users reported disruptions in voice calls and internet access, causing customer frustration.
Punjab Telecom Network Outages
The network issues mainly affected Airtel and Vodafone Idea customers. Users took to social media to voice their complaints. One user from Khanna wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Calling system down in my area for 2 to 3 hours. Kindly solve the issue.”

Sources indicate that the outages may be linked to problems with the 5G core network. Telecom companies are currently working to resolve these issues, but no official communication has been received regarding the outage.
