Disney has exciting news for fans. Two highly anticipated movies, the sequel to Freaky Friday and the live-action Lilo & Stitch, are set to hit theaters in 2025.

The Freaky Friday sequel, titled Freakier Friday, will be released on August 8, 2025. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are coming back to reprise their roles from the original 2003 hit. This time, the story will follow their characters, Tess and Anna, dealing with new family challenges, including stepchildren. Other original cast members like Mark Harmon and Haley Hudson will also return.

Meanwhile, the live-action Lilo & Stitch is set to release earlier, on May 23, 2025. The movie features Chris Sanders returning as the voice of Stitch, and Sydney Agusong will play Lilo. Fans can expect to see well-known actors like Zach Galifianakis and Tia Carrere in this exciting adaptation.
The release of Lilo & Stitch will coincide with Mission Impossible’s new installment starring Tom Cruise. However, experts predict both films will do well since they appeal to different audiences — one for families and the other for action lovers.
