Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard recently opened up about his dream of performing on Saturday Night Live (SNL) in a conversation with People magazine. Ahead of the release of the new SNL movie, in which he plays a role, Wolfhard reflected on what his ideal SNL gig would look like.
Finn Wolfhard’s SNL Dream
Wolfhard said he would love to recreate a memorable sketch called the “Underground Rock Festival,” which features funny, over-the-top commercials announcing the lineup of fake metal bands. He finds it hilarious and believes it would be a fun moment to bring back to life.

When asked which guest he would like to have alongside him, he said he would invite an Indie rock or 90s alternative band, keeping in line with his love for rock music.
In the upcoming Saturday Night film, Wolfhard plays the role of an NBC Page, a character working behind the scenes. The movie, directed by Jason Reitman, also stars Gabriel LaBelle as SNL creator Lorne Michaels, along with other big names like Dylan O’Brien and Lamorne Morris.
Wolfhard is thrilled to be part of this film, describing it as a passion project. He is proud to work alongside such a talented cast and be involved in a movie centered around one of TV’s most iconic comedy shows.
