Patrick J. Adams, who played the character Mike Ross in the popular legal drama series Suits, recently opened up about his interactions with former co-star Meghan Markle. The actor revealed that Meghan had reached out to him regarding his new podcast, Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast. The podcast is co-hosted by Patrick and Sarah Rafferty, who played Donna Paulsen on the show.
Meghan Supports Suits Podcast
Patrick shared that Meghan, who played Rachel Zane in Suits, sent him a sweet message when she found out about the launch of the rewatch podcast. Meghan expressed her excitement and offered her support, asking if there was anything she could do to help. Patrick appreciated the gesture, stating, “It was so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”

Despite the friendly message, Patrick admitted that he and Meghan are not “really in touch” these days. Responding to a fan’s question on Reddit about their current relationship, Patrick said that Meghan “leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons.” Meghan left the show after the seventh season in 2018 and married Prince Harry, taking on new responsibilities and roles as a member of the British royal family.
Patrick also shared memories of his first encounter with Meghan. He recalled that they initially met while working together on a pilot project that didn’t get picked up. It wasn’t until they reunited for a chemistry read for Suits that they truly connected as co-stars. Patrick mentioned that he knew Meghan was perfect for the role of Rachel Zane from the moment they did the chemistry read together.
Meghan played Rachel Zane from season 1 to season 7 before leaving the show to focus on her new life in the UK. Patrick, who also left the series at the end of season 7, made a brief return for a guest appearance in season 9. Despite their limited contact, Patrick’s recent comments show that their bond, built over years of working together, still remains strong.
Fans of Suits are excited to see how Patrick and Sarah will explore the show’s history and share behind-the-scenes stories through their podcast. Though it’s unclear if Meghan will join them for an episode, both Patrick and Sarah have expressed that they would love to have her as a guest.
