The show, a sequel to ‘That ’70s Show,’ focused on the life of Callie Haverda, the daughter of original characters Eric and Donna. It took place 15 years after the first series and featured Red and Kitty Forman, played by Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, welcoming their granddaughter and her friends over one summer.

Smith praised the show, saying, “This show had so much heart behind it.” He thanked the cast, writers, and crew for their hard work and dedication over the two seasons. The show also featured guest appearances from original stars like Wilmer Valderrama, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher.

Despite the cancellation, Smith feels hopeful about the show’s future. He concluded his post with a humorous reference to his character, saying, “To steal Red Forman’s words…we aren’t going to be dumbasses…we will shop the show.” This suggests that they may look for new opportunities to continue the story elsewhere.
