Mark Zuckerberg was the fourth biggest dollar-gainer this year, with his fortune rising by $73.4 billion. This income is composed mostly of dividends from 13 percent of Meta whose shares he possesses approximately 345.5 million. This year, Mark Zuckerberg wealth has grown because investors are highly interested in Meta, which costs approximately 24 times its forward earnings estimates, slightly below average for the Nasdaq 100 index’s 26 multiple. This growth has come however at what was a very difficult time for Zuckerberg in the sense that his net worth dipped below $100 billion in 2022 based on less successful forays into the metaverse.

During the Meta Connect 2024 event Zuckerberg unveiled some of the further AI initiatives that the company is planning on. He said that Meta AI wants this assistant to be the most popular in the world, with 495 million active users per month. He also pointed out that the service remains rather untested, they have not launched it in giant markets such as the European Union, yet it has a long way to grow.
