Country music star Keith Urban recently shared his admiration for Taylor Swift in an interview with The Times. Urban, who has been friends with Swift for over a decade, expressed how proud he is of the way she handles the public challenges she faces. He described these challenges as a “trial by fire,” and praised Swift for growing stronger each time she goes through tough situations in the public eye.

Urban recalled first meeting Swift when she opened for his tour in 2009. Even then, he noticed her potential and ambition, saying, “I watched her perform, and I thought, ‘Oh, this girl has her sights way past this thing.’” The two have performed together multiple times over the years, including collaborations on Swift’s song We Are Happy (Taylor’s Version) in 2021.

Speaking about Swift’s songwriting, Urban was full of praise, calling it “extraordinary.” He said that her latest album, Tortured Poets Departments, showcases her incredible talent. “She’s such a great writer,” Urban stated, adding that Swift’s voice is so distinct that it stands out among other singers.
Urban also shared his excitement about attending Swift’s Eras Tour in May 2023 with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman. He described the concert as “amazing” and said Swift is “at the top of her game” with this tour.
In addition to his admiration for Swift, Urban has also been busy with his own music. He recently released his new album High, his first in four years, which is now available to stream on various platforms.
