Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival Celebrates 25 Years with Iconic Movies and More

Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of Bollywood’s most beloved actresses, is celebrating her 25-year career with a special film festival. The Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival will take place from September 20 to 27, 2024. During this week, fans can enjoy some of her most iconic films on the big screen.

  1. Jab We Met (2007) – Directed by Imtiaz Ali, this romantic comedy showcases Kareena as Geet, a lively and talkative young woman.
  2. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) – Directed by Karan Johar, this family drama stars Kareena as Poo, a glamorous and confident young woman.
  3. Aśoka (2001) – Directed by Santosh Sivan, this historical drama features Kareena in the role of Kaurwaki, a princess in ancient India.
  4. Chameli (2003)—Directed by Sudhir Mishra, this film stars Kareena as Chameli, a strong and independent woman living in difficult circumstances.
  5. Omkara (2006) – Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, this adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello features Kareena as Dolly, a key character in this intense drama.

The festival will be conducted at PVR INOX multiplex cinema theaters in 30 centers in 15 cities. The screenings aim to honor Kareena’s; roles of versatility and contribution to the industry.

The actress Kareena Kapoor Khan shared her feelings with the media about the institute and the film festival she said she was ‘honored’ to be part of it. She said she enjoys her work and is looking forward to the next 25 years of her working life. This makes the festival a good opportunity to do a flashback on her career with a focus on her achievements in the Indian film industry.

Apart from the festival, Kareena has a current release, The Buckingham Murders. This is her first film, and in it, she plays the role of Jasmeet Bhamra, a detective on the lookout for a missing child. Another movie in the same category is Aligarh, directed by Hansal Mehta and starring Ranveer Brar and Ash Tandon.

The Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival is a beautiful way for her fan base to revisit her strident performances and her tremendous contribution to the Bollywood Industry over the last 25 years.
