Steve-O has decided not to go through with his planned breast implant surgery, which he initially intended as a social experiment. In July, he had announced on a podcast that he would get the surgery for this project. However, after a meaningful conversation with a transgender cashier at a supermarket, he felt it was a sign from the universe to reconsider.
Steve-O Cancels Surgery Plan
The encounter occurred on the day of his scheduled surgery. The cashier shared their experiences and struggles, including issues with using the bathroom and legal challenges related to their gender identity. This conversation profoundly affected Steve-O, leading him to rethink his decision.

Steve-O admitted that he had not previously consulted with transgender advisors about his plans, as he did not believe it was necessary. His original idea was to create a humorous social experiment by riding a pink Vespa in a pink bikini top and Daisy Duke shorts at a motorcycle rally, aiming to capture reactions on camera.
After reflecting on the cashier’s stories, Steve-O realized that his project could be seen as insensitive and potentially harmful. He acknowledged that his approach could unintentionally promote violence against transgender individuals and regretted that he had publicly announced his plans.
Steve-O plans to discuss this experience during his Super Dummy Tour, where he will also talk about taking pole dancing lessons. He has expressed regret about revealing his plans and the decision not to follow through with the surgery.
