Batman & Robin was the last film in the original Batman series produced by Warner Bros. Directed by Joel Schumacher, the movie earned $238 million worldwide but was not well-received by critics, who found it too light-hearted and lacking substance. Despite its poor reviews, the film remains memorable for its campy charm and standout performances by Schwarzenegger and Thurman.
George Clooney, who portrayed Batman, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the film, even admitting he was hesitant to show it to his wife, Amal. Nonetheless, the movie’s unique performances have given it a lasting place in superhero film history.
