Jana Duggar, known from the reality TV show Counting On, recently married Stephen Wissmann in a lovely ceremony on August 15, 2024. This special event, held in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, was attended by 500 guests, including family and close friends. It was a day that Jana had long dreamed of, and it finally came true.

Jana Duggar Dream Realized
At 34 years old, Jana Duggar had always enjoyed speaking about her desire to depart the wedding altar as a wife and she had been surprised to see her youthful siblings commence the norm by forming their very own households. Before the wedding, Jana said to one of the TV hosts in an interview, ‘Oh my god’. It took long enough, she joked, but it feels terribly real, ”she added.
A Simple and Elegant Wedding
Hence, the couple selected The Grand at Willow Springs as their wedding venue to be because of the natural set up. For the wedding, they did not overdo the beautification and only used white flowers and greenery to complement the venue. Jana’s dress was an off-the-shoulder ivory satin ball gown, which the TV presenter chose because it looked ‘classy’ and ‘a bit like a princess’.
The wedding was very touching. Jana Duggar entered the room with the hymn “Holy, Holy Holy” playing in the background and the husband and wife said their vows and had a unity candle that they lit together.
Celebrating with Loved Ones
Family was also very much involved in Jana’s Duggar wedding. Jessa Duggar Seewald, her sister, was the maid of honor while other sisters and sister-in-law were bridesmaids. Stephen’s groomsmen also wore black suits to match the plainness of the wedding as was the theme of the wedding.
To a formal dinner courtesy of Stephen’s family which has proved to be good in preparations, the guests sat down having dances to entertain them before they left. The foods served were chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and coleslaw for dinner and then a three tiered carrot and lemon raspberry filled wedding cake and cupcakes.
A Joyful Reception
The reception was filled with fun activities and interactive games. One of Jana’s brothers-in-law served as the emcee, leading the evening’s events, including the couple’s first dance and the bouquet toss. It was a joyful celebration that perfectly ended a dream wedding day for Jana and Stephen.
