On July 11, 2024, Vivek Dahiya shared a video on social media showing their car with broken windows. A thief had stolen their important documents, cash, and shopping bags, leaving only a suitcase with clothes and a small bag with food. This robbery happened in broad daylight.

Seeking Help from Authorities

Divyanka tweeted (present X) of the incident and beckoned to Italy’s Prime Minister on the Twitter platform named Giorgia Meloni. Locals had also indifferently dismissed the robbery incident and this upset her. She thought that Italy required better measures to protect tourists.

One of the tweets by Divyanka read; “Dear PM Ms. @GiorgiaMeloni, we were enjoying our vacation in Italy but unfortunately were beaten up and robbed yesterday. We went to the police, but they are not taking it seriously, we have lost our zeal. How will I & my people get the courage to visit Italy again? ”

It is not just us, it is about anyone who cuts corners and spends thousands to be here.

A Call for Action

This incident has raised concerns about tourist safety in Italy. Divyanka’s appeal to PM Giorgia Meloni highlights the need for better protection for visitors. Authorities should take such incidents seriously to make sure tourists can enjoy their trips without fear.
